SCAMP Concours in the Park
The 24th annual Concours in the Park will fill downtown Clarkston's
Depot Park from 6 to 9 p.m. on August 6 with a car show, escorted
cruise, silent auction and local foods. The event is organized by
Waterford Hills Road Racing, Inc. and all proceeds
benefit SCAMP.
The event is free to the public, but there is a $25 minimum donation
fee for entrants who want to show their car in the park.
Clarkston Union macaroni and cheese and Cooks Farm Dairy
ice cream will be available for purchase at the volunteer-run food
tent. Stars & Stripes Gymnastics Academy will also be present with
their Mobile Activity Circuit, a transportable gymnastics course for kids.
Cars can win awards for Best in Show, People's Choice,
Judges' Choice and SCAMPer's choice.
Unique to this year's escorted cruise is a new, extended route about
17 miles long. The cruise ends at Depot Park where Concours entrants can
then place their cars. Participants can choose to be involved in just one of these activities or both.
There is no registration deadline, but registering early is highly recommended.
Entrants should visit the Waterford Hills Road Racing, Inc. website for directions, vehicle entry forms and more information.
